Eye color differs from person to person and is a unique facial characteristic that can be enhanced with the right makeup. Eye makeup is designed to make your natural eye color pop, as long as it is applied the right way and the right colors are chosen. Dark gray eyes are rare, which is another reason you should highlight them.

What you will need for this process:

Eyeliner

Eye shadow

Makeup brushes

Mascara

How to Instructions:

Step one is deciding on a makeup color palette that matches your outfit or one that you feel comfortable wearing. Choose from colors such as silver, blue-black, dark brown, purple, blue, gold or green. Neutral colors such as champagne, bronze or brown may work for you as well. A good color combination for dark gray eyes consists of blue-gray or dark blue eye shadow, silver eye shadow and black or blue-black mascara.

Step two cleanse eyelids using a makeup remover and a cotton pad to remove any leftover makeup residue if you haven't done so already. Ignore this step if your eyes are clean.

Step three use the eyeliner to outline the rim of your eye. Apply along the bottom lash line as well as along the top lash line, all around. Use an angled eyeliner brush to smudge the eyeliner gently.

Step four take your chosen eye shadow colors, at least two different shades, and using a soft, eye shadow brush, apply the darker color on the eyelid along the lash line and along the outer edge of your eye, up to your brow bone. Apply a lighter shade on the rest of your eyelid. Using the eye shadow brush, blend the two colors together lightly.

Step five apply the darker eye shadow shade along your lower lash line. Then, apply the lighter shade on top and below the darker shade. Blend the two shades together with a brush.

Step six dab some light silver eye shadow onto the inner and outer corners of your eyes if using eye shadow shades such as blue or gray. This silver shadow highlights eyes and makes them appear brighter.

Final step enhance your lashes, including your bottom lashes, using mascara. Choose from dark brown, black or even blue-black mascara. Apply one to two coats and allow it to dry. Then, add another coat, making sure lashes are coated evenly and are not stuck together. If they are, use an eyelash comb to separate them.
