On Monday night a woman walking to her home at the Sea Winds Condominiums was the victim of attempted kidnapping, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. 

The victim said suspect grabbed and picked her up by the waist. Deputies said the victim began screaming and resisting when then suspect released her. The suspect fled the area in a southerly direction, between the complex buildings, deputies said. 

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect is described as a white male between 25-35 years old, 6"01, thin build, shaggy strawberry blonde hair, pale complexion, acne on face, wearing a dirty white T-shirt, khaki shorts, work boots and is a cigarette smoker.

Patrol and K-9 units were utilized during the course of this investigation, which has been turned over to the Criminal investigations section of the sheriff's office and is ongoing.
