Divine Skin has raised $1.73 million in equity capital.

The Miami Beach-based company (OTCBB: DSKX) had Boca Raton-based Littlebanc Advisors act as the sole placement agent and financial adviser for its offering.

Divine Skin uses biotechnology to develop products in the topical, nutritional and pharmaceutical fields. Its brands include DS Laboratories, Sigma Skin, Polaris Research Laboratories, the Pure Guild and NutraOrigin. Its products address hair loss, acne and wrinkles.

The company lost $246,000 on revenue of $4.6 million in the first six months of 2011. Its sales have been increasing.

"This round of financing will allow Divine Skin to continue acquiring market share," Littlebanc CEO Michael Margolies said in a news release.
