Neutral Eyes FOTD

Hello there,

Recently, I was a bit trigger-happy as E.L.F made its way to Target for the back to school season. There are four new palettes available, 3 eye and 1 lip palettes. And guess what? They sell like hot cakes! The inner collector in me decided to swoop in and collected all 3 of the eye palettes for $15 plus tax. Can you believe it? That's 50 cents more expensive than a MAC eyeshadow and I got 36 eye shadows instead. For those who are looking for a review, I will put them up next week. Today, I am just going to do a show and tell with the ELF BeautyBook in Neutral Eye Edition.

Eyes

Colors used in this palette, numbers indicate the order of use
Open eye
  • Apply ArtDeco eyeshadow primer on your eyelids: I've tested this palette with different primers and ArtDeco gives the best color intensity.
  • With an eyeshadow brush, apply color #1 (shimmery chocolate brown) to the eyelid.
  • Using a blending brush, apply color #2 (golden apricot that resembles MAC Amber Lights) to the crease and blend slightly
  • Using the same brush, apply color #3 (shimmery taupe, Urban Decay Sin dupe) above color #2 and blend these two colors together. Don't blend them too much aas you need to have a gradient.
Semi-close eye

  • Using ELF Studio crease brush, emphasize the outer corner of your eyes with color #4
  • With the blending brush, apply color #5 underneath the brow bone as a highlighter. Please use a light hand as this color is very frosty.
  • Line your upper eyelashes with a black eyeliner and lower eyelashes with a pearly white eyeliner (I used ELF waterproof eyeliner for the upper lash line and Wet n Wild Idol Eyes chubby eye stick in Pixie for the lower lash line.)
  • Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara
I can make a silly face :P
Face
  • Apply your favorite face primer before applying foundation
  • Using ELF Studio powder brush, apply mineral foundation. Set it with The Ultimate Powder from Formula D Minerals
  • Apply Dandelion blush to your cheeks with a blush brush
Lips
  • Apply MAC Viva Glam V to your lips and voila, you're done!

Peace, y'all!
