You know how certain smells can trigger memories – one smell in particular immediately takes me back to my childhood – the smell of Oil of Olay lotion.  I can't help but think about my Grandmother who apply it to her pearly skin, and how I used to squirm and fight with her to avoid having any put on my face.

Fast forward 25 years and examine my bathroom counter – where you'll find amongst the other trappings of a man's grooming essentials – a large bottle of Oil of Olay.

While I am no specimen of beauty, I do pride myself on pretty good skin for a 36 year old (although many would argue that it comes from the lack of children and other stress in my life).  I try to avoid prolonged periods in the sun (at least without some type of sunscreen), but I also generously use some type of lotion on my face before going to bed.

Moisturizing may be perceived as a "metrosexual" thing to do, but persisting with it on a daily basis will help promote hydration, skin cell regeneration, healing, and prevent damaging effects from external forces and weather conditions that lead to premature wrinkles and fine lines.
