In 2010, the David Suzuki Foundation asked Canadians to read the labels on their bath and beauty products to discover just what they were putting on their bodies. The online survey found that 80 per cent of entered products contained at least one of the toxic chemicals listed on the Dirty Dozen list of ingredients to avoid. Part of that list includes things such as parabens, coal tar dyes and formaldehyde-releasing preservatives – scary stuff.

Part of Rocky Mountain's philosophy is that when an ingredient has been identified as potentially harmful, it's safest to avoid it completely. The company is also mindful of the environment and since their products are all natural, they are biodegradable. Packaging is kept to a minimum and only recyclable and recycled paper with vegetable ink dyes are used.

As well as using all natural soap ingredients, no testing is done on animals, ever.
