Actress Megan Fox has admitted to ditching her strict vegan diet after noticing how much weight she had lost.

The star who is married to Brian Austin Green said she realised she needed to change her eating habits when she saw pictures of herself looking dangerously thin.

"For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee," Fox told Amica magazine.

"But I had lost too much weight. So now I eat a bit of everything, and I train three times a week."

Meanwhile, Hollywood fitness expert Pasternak has since revealed that Megan is now following his 5 Factor diet, which sees the dieter eat five small meals a day combined with 25 minutes of exercise broken down into five five-minute sessions.

She was in Toronto over the weekend to promote her role in the new independent film, Friends with Kids, which stars Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Bridesmaids hit Kristen Wiig.

The movie is the directorial debut of Hamm's partner, Jennifer Westfeldt and also stars Adam Scott, Maya Rudolph and Chris O'Dowd.
