Ali Lohan New Face Not From Surgery, Weight Loss Suspected - International Business Times

Some members of the public and media immediate jumped to the conclusion that she had plastic surgery.

Celebrity Smack, for example, said "Ali Lohan has obviously had plastic surgery to her face and the result is a frightening sight."

Lohan's modeling agency Next Management, however, denied such claims.

"Aliana has never had any type of plastic surgery in her life, nor has she ever considered it," said the agency in a statement to People. 

So what was the change attributed to?

"During the past two years, she has gone through a normal teenage growth spurt that has made her taller and slimmer," said the agency.

"As a young girl who is growing up, it's natural for her facial features to change slightly, and we see this with many of the younger models we represent. Aliana is a beautiful 17-year-old girl who is growing into her face and body, as is the norm for someone of her age," said the agency in a statement to E! News.

Another explanation for the change in looks, however, is drastic weight loss, as seen in these photos. 

"She is very underweight. By looking at her cheekbones you can tell she has muscle wasting going on," Dr. Majid Ali, who has not treated Ali Lohan, told RadarOnline.com.

Moreover, her father Michael Lohan said "it's scary to see my daughter looking like this."

"Ali was always on the thin side but seeing how much weight she's lost there appears to be a drastic change that concerns me," he said.
