Firespot Rust FOTD

Hi everybody,

Do you have some really gorgeous eye shadows that you bought just because they're gorgeous but rarely use? To me, that one is Firespot from the Moonbathe collection in summer 2007. It was also my first MAC LE item I purchased. The thing about Firespot is it really is a pretty shimmering orange eyeshadow. However, as it is orange, Firespot does not have a lot of play when it comes to everyday makeup. I did manage to use it in my friend's wedding and it looked really good when paring with brown.

I did this look a while back already but put in the back burner for some reasons. However, after some cropping, I realize the look is fine and I may even wear it during the daytime. Beside Firespot, I also used NYX Rust - a part of the Copper/Rust/Bronze trio. The two colors worked well with each other but the thing is I already forgot most of the items I used since I was such a long time ago.

Eyes

MAC Firespot all over the eyelid
NYX Rust on the outer 2/3 of the eye
NYX Champagne to contour with MAC 217 brush
Light pink shade in NYX Shangri-la trio to highlight
White jumbo liner from Wet n Wild on lower lash
MAC Blacktrack liner on upper lash
and Maybelline NY Extend XXL mascara

Open eye

Close eye

For the rest of the face, I can only speculate on the cheeks and the lips but any pink blush and neutral pink lip combo would do.

Ended up looking like this :)

I was actually sick and bored, hence the inanimate face

I really like the new jumbo Wet n Wild liner I got and I am going to review it one day. It does brighten up the eyes a lot despite the dark circles I had that day.

Alright, y'all. I hope you enjoy this look. This truly is a "shop my stash" look because I did not use a lot of new stuff here. It's fun to do so once in a while and I realize there are a lot of products I own but do not use. It's like saving a lot of money that way and "a penny saved is a penny earned" to me.
