Jessica Alba is suing the manufacturers of a weight loss garment after her image was prominently featured on the company's website.
The 30-year old actress filed a lawsuit against the makers of the Belly Bandit - a belt created to help women shed their post-pregnancy pounds - after discovering that her name had been used without consent or prior knowledge on the 'celebrity testimonials' section of their site.
According to mother of two Jessica's legal papers, the company falsely claimed their product was 'Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!"
The actress's face has since been removed from the site - but Jess is still demanding $1 million in damages and a healthy slice of the profits.
Controversy aside, the Belly Bandit has been a huge success with celebrity mums; Kourtney Kardashian reportedly has a lace version of the garment, while Christina Applegate gave it the thumbs up during an appearance on 'The Late Show' with Jay Leno.
And according to their website, it's not just celebs who are getting in on the act.
"Women in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Latin America, Mexico, Spain, England, and the Philippines have benefited from using an abdominal compression wrap after childbirth," they claim. "No wonder so many U.S. celebrities have gotten on board!"
