Mail (eBay)

I received the nose stud I ordered from this eBay store yesterday. They shipped the jewel two days after my payment, which is OK... I was expecting it would be the day of the payment or the day after, but hey, I guess that's just because that's what I experienced with my previous eBay purchases.

It came with a free nose ring backing (which I absolutely don't know how it's supposed to be used?) and nicely wrapped in an organza bag and jewelry box.

The seller even included a 10% off coupon code on my next purchase (=

I couldn't get a nice picture of the stud with my camera (it's so tiny!) so here is the picture from the listing:

Here are the details of the item:

I've been looking for a high quality nose stud with a clear gemstone for a long time now, because the ones I had where all from Ardène (a store that sells cheap jewelry at inexpensive prices) and the gemstones either fell out or where sticking out of my nose (this one is designed to lay flat on the nose). I took advantage of the free shipping offer and bought this jewelry for $12.99.

After many tries, I've finally been able to switch jewel! I hate to switch piercing jewel, it either hurts (even with Vaseline or Vitamin E) or feels strange (especially my nose piercing). And I'm always scared the hole will close before I've been able to put the new jewel in even if I know it won't!

I took some picture to show you what the stud looks like on my nose, even if you can't really see it clearly:

yes, my nose is red because as I said, it hurt to remove the other stud

It's really pretty and sparkles a little when it catches the light. I went with the smallest size available (1.5 mm) just to be sure it would be OK for my future job or even if I decide to search for a student job.

Now I'm still waiting for my leggings to arrive. I ordered them before the nose stud, and the seller marked them as shipped before the stud, too! It's been more than a week now... I'm so impatient, I know xD

March empties + March favourites

I've finally used up three products this month - and since the beginning of the year! Here they are:

Avon On Duty 24 Hours Clear Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant: I hated it. You will see why in my upcoming review.

Freeman Goodstuff Organics Moisture Shea Butter Vitamin E Whipped Body Butter: This is LOVE. Everything is amazing about it! See my review here.

Fruits & Passion Orange Cantaloup Shower Gel: I feel like it takes forever to finish a shower gel, so I'm glad I finished one this month.

And now, onto my March favourites:

Avon Basics Extra Hydration Face Cream: I've been using it every day since I got it. It's great for winter, as it's thick (makes a great night cream, too). See my review here.

Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream with Eucalyptus Oil: I still can't believe I found this product in a Dollar Store for only 2$! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, not to mention this amazing fresh scent! Even my doggie noticed; he couldn't stop smelling my face the first time I used this cleanser xD See my review here.

Jessica Simpson Fancy eau de parfum spray: it's my all-time favorite fragrance, but I've found myself reaching for it more often lately (maybe because spring is in the air?)

Marcelle Minerals Powder Blush in Natural Glow: I've been sent this blush to try and review, and I've been using it every day since I got it. It instantly adds radiance to the face.

Marcelle Vita-Lip Plumping Gloss in Rio Rose: I got it at the last Marcelle/Annabelle Warehouse Sale (if I remember well). It's supposed to plump lips after a continuous use, but even if I haven't seen results so far, I like the high shine and glossy effect it delivers.

Dove Ultimate Go Fresh Energizing Grapefruit & Lemongrass Scent: I took advantage of a 2 for 5$ sale out of curiosity, and I'm glad I did! I've been wanting to try the Go Fresh products for some times now.

Meet my other love, Guimauve (it means "marshmallow" in French), she's a 3 years old gerbil:

She's busy tearing cartboard to build her "nest".

Oups, looks like she saw me xD
I think she's hungry!

And here she is! She like to go into her food jar, grab some things and go back in her house and eat them.

With my mother. Isn't she cute?

Review: Avon Basics Extra Hydration Face Cream

    Price: 5.99$ for 200 ml / 6.7 FL. OZ.

    The claims:
The Extra Boost: Vitamin A & C. The Basics Result: Helps protects skin's natural moisture levelagainst intensive winter conditions. Allergy-tested.
     How to use:
    Smooth evenly over cleansed skin.

    Pros:
    + lasts all day
    + bonus-size
    + subtle fragrance
    + a little goes a long way
+ works great as a night cream (thick texture)
+ it's a face cream but it works well all over the body, too
    + inexpensive!
    Cons:
    - greasy
    - cheap packaging
    - isn't absorbed quickly into skin

    What I think:

I'm pretty impressed with this product! I haven't had many bad experiences with Avon skincare products, but let's say I didn't have high hopes with this face cream. It turns out to be exactly what I was looking for to protect my poor dry skin against the harsh winter weather. Yes, it's greasy, but I was looking for a thick cream. Also, this is a 2-in-1, as it doubles as a night cream! Oh and, of course, I wouldn't recommand to use it in the summer.

Take a closer look at that yummy texture (please excuse the bad lightning!) :

Sunday is the day my mother and my little brother spend driving around to make my brother practices for his driving exam, so to make the most out of this, they stop at shops where my mother needs something. I like to go with them sometimes, as my mother and I like to browse through Dollarama, drugstores like Jean Coutu, Shoppers Drug Mart, Uniprix, Brunet and sometimes, Wal-Mart and Giant Tiger. Today I finally found some cute flats (I've been wanting new ones since the end of last summer!) at Wal-Mart and I also needed anti-slip pads for one of my pairs of high heels.

I love the design! And they were only $15.

The anti-slip pads are made of gel. They costed $5.98. I needed them for those shoes:

I love them, but the heels is so high, my feet always slip to the front, and it makes my toes hurt! I hope those pads will solve the problem.

    My Date Night

Well if you all have realised I don't talked much about my relationship here, but this latest movie My Date Night is going to make me share it here a little bit after all last week was the 5th year we first dated, good times fly !!!! Nuffnang are giving a pair of tickets for the 1st 90th bloggers who blogs about this (cross my fingers!). And this is definitely a romantic movie !

Well back to the topic My Date Night , which happened to me many many moons well approximately 6 years ago on 21 March on last week! A mutual friend of us (an angel by the named of Joevy) introduced us to each other one on night during dinner which was specially organised by her! First time I saw Mr. J (whom is my boy now) I am so embarrassed because I never been to a blind date before! Believe it or not , I was so quiet for the whole night .... from the moment we ( my friend Joevy and me ) stepped into his car. Haha because I do know what to say ! Feel weird to start conversation! So I focus in listening their conversation. And suddenly he turned to me and asked hey why are you so quiet, are you scared of me ? I don't remembered what I answered but I know I was saying something very stupid and start blushing as if I am wearing my favourite Nars blusher a!!!! Anyway after the dinner, he sent me home and gave me a call and a sweet sms after he reached home which I kept until my phone was snatched 2 last

Anyway later on everyday is our date night after that as he waited me outside my college to fetch me to go dinner with me and sent me home after that, how sweet of him right! He still patiently waited for me even until now when sometimes I am still at work or workshop!

Well thats my most memorable date with a stranger who is now my lovely boy !

He is someone whom I want to hug and strangle sometimes !

So this 13 April, I want to officially date my boy for this movie !

Review: Noxzema The Original Deep Cleansing Cream with Eucalyptus Oil

    Price: around 9$ for 50 ml 10.75 OZ (304 g)

    The claims:
There's clean, and then there’s way down deep clean. The Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream is specially formulated to break down and remove dirt, oil and makeup – and it conditions while it cleans, so it leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed – all with that classic Noxzema tingle.
    What it does:
    • Dissolves dirt, oil and makeup
    • Refreshes skin with its one-of-a-kind tingle
    • Conditions as it cleans
    Pros:
+ skin feels fresh and clean
    + refreshes skin with tingle
    + big jar of product
    + a little goes a long way

    Cons:
    - I didn't feel like it conditioned my skin
    - I didn't feel my skin was softer after use
    - I feel like it dried my skin after several use

    What I think:
I love cleansers that leaves your skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean, and I didn't know a cream cleanser could achieve it! Since this one contains menthol, you can really feel that your skin is refreshed and it will smell great for some times after washing it with this product. Also, I love the tingle. The downside is that I was so overwhelmed with this product that I used it morning and night - which I usually don't do in the winter - and my skin began to feel dry some days ago. Maybe the Plus Moisturizers Deep Cleansing Cream with Eucalyptus Oil + Moisturizers would have been better for winter use...

I must mention that I was confused with the texture of this product at first. I thought it would be creamy, you know, just like a body cream, but no, it's more like a solid cream. I even thought I had picked an expired jar xD

I hope this helps you understand what I mean about the texture. This is what it looks like after a few uses.

     It looks chunky...

but it melts into a milky texture when you start massaging it onto wet skin.

I'm not sure if that's the reason why this product landed in a Dollar Store, but the look of the packaging is changing:
